How do I stop my tenant from purchasing electricity before paying their rent?

To stop tenants purchasing electricity if your tenant is in arears, all you need to do is the following:

  1. On the left panel select ‘Manage Properties’ then ‘List all properties’
  2. For the property that you would like to apply the setting, select ‘Rental Lease Info’
  3. At the bottom of the page, click on the ‘No’ circle (radio button) on the right. Then select ‘Submit’

Do I need a RealTech smart box?

Yes, every property that you add to the RealTech platform requires a RealTech Smart Box. To order a RealTech Smart Box click here

How do I configure my RealTech Smart-Box?

To configure the RealTech smartbox, all you need to do is the following:

  1. Log into the platform using your username and password
  2. Select ‘Add Meter’ button
  3. Enter in the property name the meter will be installed in
  4. Enter the meter number
  5. Enter the tariff rate. This is the price per KWh the meter will vend at. The tariff rate can be calculated from your levy statement or municipal bill
  6. Select if you would like to block or split electricity purchases

How do I withdraw money from my wallet?

  1. Log into the platform using your username and password
  2. Click on your wallet on the top right of the screen
  3. Click withdraw funds
  4. Enter the amount you would like to withdraw then confirm
